Scientists expect GOCE satellite to crash to Earth in just days
Fri Nov 8, 2013
Maybe satellites should have a self destruct mechanism built in. That way once orbit is lost, or purpose has passed the satellite would cease to exist and we would not need to duck and cover! Any scientist out there who would like to innovate?
Were first dogs our best friends, or mutant vermin? The tale wags on
Fri Nov 8, 2013
I understand that researchers must be objective; however the scientist in the article seems to have little respect for canines. The fact that millions upon millions of dogs live in the streets across the globe is not something to be celebrated as part of the species. Instead it shows the disregard w …
Has your favorite show been canceled?
Sun May 12, 2013
In reply to: culheath #49 We have a lot of the same taste in shows, as I watched all of the ones you named, except Supernatural. Body of Proof ended up being too preachy this last season, and Dana Delaney's character lacked any spark or sense of humor. That is why shows like Castle, Grimm, and Bone …
Two high school students lose fingers during tug-of-war
Tue Feb 5, 2013
This exact thing happened to my friend's father. They couldn't re-attach his fingers, as the severing was not a clean enough cut. He had a tough re-hab; working at the computer and golfing became huge challenges. Who knew tug-o-war could be so dangerous?!

Buying your own health insurance will never be the same
Sun Jan 27, 2013
I live in Arizona : ( Our CRAZY Governor says we won't have exchanges here. She is famously defiant to anything the Obama administration sets forth, and is notorious for cutting benefits of all sorts across the board. I have had my own private health insurance since I became an adult. My husband and …
Forget diets: Cutting fat keeps you slim
Thu Dec 6, 2012
Often time when a food producer takes out fat they must replace it with sugar. If the consumer reads the nutrition labels, he or she will see that fat free products often have more sugar than their low fat counterparts. Staying healthy requires a great deal of effort! Shopping carefully, cooking car …
Good news about aging: Get older, feel better, study finds
Fri Dec 7, 2012
I am about to turn 51, work in the education field, am physically active, not overweight, am on no medications, and eat a sensible diet. When I wake up at 4:30 am to feed my geriatric dog, my back hurts, my knees hurt, my neck hurts. Once I am up and around I am good to go, but I am in no way happy …
